We avoid sweeping claims like “nothing leaves your device”, because they would not be true. We handle three kinds of data three different ways. Here is each one.
Where your data lives
Three kinds of data, three places.
The single sentence worth remembering: we do not upload your ordinary Telegram messages. Everything below is the detail behind it, including our one deliberate exception.

The one exception: canvases are shared documents stored on our servers so your whole channel can open them. They are not end-to-end encrypted and are readable by our service — we write that down instead of glossing over it.
Questions worth asking
Straight answers, no security theatre.
If any of these ever stops being accurate, we change this page first. You should not need to understand our architecture to trust our boundaries.
Do you upload my Telegram messages?
No. Your channel and direct messages remain Telegram content. We read them through your signed-in Telegram session, the same way any Telegram client does, and we do not upload ordinary message content to our servers.
What do you store on my computer?
A local cache of messages, so your conversations open instantly, stay readable offline and can be searched without a network round trip. Your Telegram session and our device credentials also live locally, protected by whatever your desktop operating system makes available.
What does your service store?
The metadata that makes a workspace behave like a workspace: which chats form which workspace, channel setup, membership overlays, roles, profiles, reminders and activity state. This is the layer Telegram does not have and cannot provide.
Telegram remains the source of truth for message content and for what you are actually allowed to see. Our metadata describes structure, not conversation.
How are canvases different from messages?
Canvases are our native shared documents rather than Telegram messages. We store their content on our servers so that everyone in your channel can open and edit the same document.
Canvases are not end-to-end encrypted and are readable by our service. This is a deliberate exception to the message boundary above, and worth knowing before you put something sensitive in one.
Why do you use my Telegram account?
Because your existing Telegram identity is exactly what makes this work: your groups, topics, people and history are already attached to it. Requiring a separate account would mean rebuilding your network before you got any value — which is the migration we exist to avoid.
Does my whole team need to switch?
No. Your teammates on standard Telegram keep participating in the same underlying conversations and never need to know we exist. You can adopt Teamgram one person at a time instead of coordinating a switch.
Are you affiliated with Telegram?
No. We are an independent product built to work with Telegram — not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Telegram. We use the Telegram name here only to describe what we connect to.
What analytics do you collect?
Our website and desktop app may use PostHog to understand how people find us and whether they reach a working workspace. Our analytics must never include message content or personally identifying message data.

What happens if I stop using it?
Your Telegram groups, topics, names and history are exactly as they were, because our import never changed them. Uninstalling removes the local cache along with the app; our workspace layer simply stops being applied to conversations that were always Telegram’s.

- Compliance or certification guarantees it has not earned.
- Your ordinary messages stay on Telegram; we don’t upload them.
- A local cache exists, on your computer, for speed and offline reading.

- Canvas content is stored by us and readable by our service.
